Animal Parade

Today it was SO cold outside, it's been in the 40's up here, so we've been stuck inside the house. Wesley wanted to take a HOT bath to heat up so the boys jumped in together. We had to test out their new animal towels they received for Christmas. Coincodentally, they both received animal towels this year, Wesley a frog from Aunt DeeDee and Bryan a baby elephant from his friend Brooke. They love them a lot and they both look at each other an laugh at how silly they look....

The Cheese Stands Alone

I had to take this picture. Bryan is now standing while holding onto things. Couches, bathtubs, he even tried scaling grandma's tv. So, last night when Wesley got in the bathtub he had to observe the water going into his tub. Here's a nice picture of his cheesy saggy bum!

Bryan seemed to do well at Disneyland as well. He just hung out in his stroller most of the time and got to go on a few of the "less invasive" rides. He LOVED the Small World ride and held onto the back of the seat bar in front of us and kept looking around and dancing. He was really cute!

So, while we were at the airport we got a call from the agent. They wanted Bryan to work a shoot that afternoon. The mad rush from the airport to the city began and we made it there just a little late, thanks to everyone's help. Bryan will be on the Old Navy Website February 22nd and may also be on the email.

Who's the leader of the club....

MICKEY MOUSE! We just got back from Disneyland yesterday afternoon. We took a 5 day family trip with Grandma, Cousin Kimmy and Cousin Jagger to the magical kingdom. Wesley's favorite of the Classic Disney Characters was Minnie Mouse. He ran up to her with a big grin and hugged her. I believe it's the first of his childhood crushes.

Wesley was quite happy when he saw Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater at California Adventure (these are currently his favorite characters) At 42" he was able to ride almost all of the rides at the parks. On this trip he experienced a bunch of new rides including the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Thundermountain Railroad, and..........TOWER OF TERROR.

Yes, he actually insisted going on this along with his cousin Jagger, both of them thought they were tough guys and begged to go on it. In the end though, he did LOVE it and asked to go on it again. But mom said "no way jose." Once was enough for me. My stomach was already in my throat.

A Hair Pulling Experience

Today was our visit with the Mr. Claus at the Jelly Belly factory. Wesley, who has been hesitant to speak or even look at the Claus, was happy to see the man and actually spoke to him and told him what he wanted under the tree on Christmas morning!

I was oh so curious so see what Bryan would do with his first visit with Santa. Was he going to be the screamer or the fearful crier that Wesley was?

Turns out he was just a looker, with this "what the heck is this thing" expression on his face. He wouldn't stop looking at Santa and at one point decided it would be fun to try and pull all of the hair off of his face. None the less, it turned out to be a pleasant experience, one with no lines and no pressure!

Sweet Treats

Wesley got his first "professional" hair cut today. I've been doing the chore alone for almost 4 years now and his hair is getting longer and I wasn't sure, at this point, actually how straight his hair was since I'm not a pro. He sat patiently while she trimmed, sprayed, and blew his hair with a diffuser. I think he actually enjoyed the pampering. Haircut, $15.00, a tootsie roll pop and sweet tarts, Priceless!

Baby Star is Born!

Bryan did his first photo shoot for the babycenter on Wednesday morning in the city. This is a photo of the set. It was interesting to see the personalities of the other babies there. There were 2 little girls about 10 months of age that were complete camera hogs. They actually worked them for about 3 hours straight and they were spinning around on the floor, clapping, doing the splits, etc.

They didn't like the way that Bryan's hair looked on film so they slicked it back with gel, he looked like a little mafia baby. He got through 5 outfits that day and then got too tired to continue. He ended up working for 1.5 hours. He did a stellar job!

The photos will be on the babycenter website in Spring of 2008. So, I, like others, have heard the 'rumor' that you get to keep the clothes that they shoot you in. I kindly inquired what they did with the clothes when they were done with them. They said they put them in storage for about a year and then give them to charity. Brand new Carters clothes with brand spanking new Robeez leather crib shoes. To charity?!?!?! Very very interesting....
