SanDisk Shoot
Yesterday, Wesley had his 7 1/2 hour photo shoot for SanDisk in Tiburon. The shoot was at a home that was absolutely gorgeous and happened to have a lake behind the backyard. He started working at 9:30am and had a lot of fun playing with Isabel, his 8 year old sister for the day, and his set teacher, Don. Don played guessing games, they did "search" books where they looked for items, and they played a math card game during downtime. They also got to play with the newest gadgets for the shoots, a laptop that is so small it fit in my purse, the new Nindendo DS1, and the WII games. Wesley has requested a DS1, which is really cool by the way, the kids are able to text each other drawings on it, take pictures and record on the thing. It is coming out on April 6th and he is going to use a little of the money he made on the shoot to buy it. What a nice reward! I did take some set photos of the kids with my camera phone but I have no idea where the cable is to upload them onto my computer. I'll have to figure that one out and try to get them up soon! =)

Busy Little Bee
Wesley has been very busy this past week with auditions for work. Apparently size does matter when it comes to child modeling/acting. A size 5 happens to be the busiest time for kids. He's actually becoming used to them now and has learned to do a "real" smile for the camera rather than the ugly "cheese" grin that he had been doing. He's also becoming a bit more social and learning skills to talk to adult strangers. (good thing???) We went to the city 4 times this past week because all of the auditions happened to be on different days. We recently signed a contract with a casting company in San Francisco that my cousin told me about that represents "real people." Two of the auditions were through them and he ended up booking the SanDisk gig which will shoot on Thursday. If you're wondering where you've heard of this company, they make the little memory cards that go inside digital cameras. We're still waiting to hear from Weight Watchers to see if he booked that one or not. I am not holding my breath on the Truvada gig because he did not look anything like the kids they were looking for when we were there, which may be good thing since I don't know how I feel about him being the poster child for an HIV drug.
The boys were supposed to do a shoot today with a child photographer on trade so we can use the images in their portfolios but it's super windy outside so we had to reschedule for next weekend which happened to be a blessing with going to the city so much already!
Friday evening we were able to stay at my sister's house in Pacifica because they left for vacation. Wesley and I had a night out and went to dinner with grandma and grandpa for grandpa's birthday and then we went bowling for the first time in a long time. He was old enough this time to bowl without the metal ramp and got his first strike! (which was pretty unbelieveable to me judging by the incredibly slow speed of the ball LOL) It reminded me of when I was his age learning to bowl...
