I don't know if anyone remembers playing with these blocks when they were a kid but I remember them. They look like little waffle blocks. Anyhow, my cousin Kim gave some to Bryan for Christmas this past year and both boys love playing with them. Wesley built himself a "pirate ship" with them last night when Jimmie and I were at a dinner for his work. He's so proud he wanted me to take a pic of him with it. (don't mind the blankets that were forts in the background!) He also managed to find one of the spinning pieces that came with the kit and was playing around with it in his mouth (he never put stuff in his mouth as a baby but started with this about a year ago) and got his lip stuck inbetween a crease in the toy. I couldn't get it off for the life of me and he was going ballistic while I was trying everything I could use to get it off. I finally managed to grab a butter knife and pry the toy up off of his lip. He went crazy when he saw the knife and said he didn't want me to cut his lip off. Kids.
Our excitement for yesterday evening was at the work dinner the union gives for Jimmie's union. Everyone receives a raffle ticket and they give away about 40 prizes (there's usually about 200 people there) The best prizes were flat screen tv's, ipods, cameras, and a lot of kitchen supplies. I was fortunate to walk away with a new stainless steel, drumroll, ... .......toaster! LOL Heck, who can't use a new toaster?
Update for Wesley: he booked his Father's Day Ad for Macy's and will be shooting on Wednesday.
